Grandchildren-delightful

This is Adam he is my number 10 grandchild. What a Guy he is. His mother said at Thanksgiving that he was her skinniest child. Look at him today or at least on Mothers Day. He is one hefty guy. I love all my grand kids it makes me so glad that I am a Mother, and I am thankful for my Mother.

Old Movies

Yesterday we watched an old Movie it was "The unsinkable Molly Brown" what fun it was to see a favorite old movie. Movies bring back good memories. When I went to BYU the weekend movie was "Thoroughly Modern Millie" we went and saw it both nights and then we would pretend tap dance down the back stairs to home (only about 50-60 stairs). I love old musicals. We watched "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" on Saturday. What fun that was. I must say I have not seen any new musical movies lately that I liked. I have not seen "Dreamless" and I thought "Chicago" was just marginal. MY mother in law would beg to differ and she loved it, but I was not impressed. My mother took my sister and I to downtown Hollywood to see "South Pacific" we got to miss school. So it became something we did it a lot. I remember going to Brahmans Chinese and seeing "Darby O'Gill and the little people" we had a good day in Hollywood that day. We went to the Pantages to see "Funny Girl" there is nothing like the big screen. I had only seen "Gone with the Wind" on TV and while I was at Ricks they showed it at the Local theater. It was so wonderful. I remember seeing "First Knight" at the movies and during the fight scenes instead of blood and guts like in "Braveheart" the music was so powerful and you could use your imagination as to what was going on. I guess that is why I love old radio broadcasts you have to imaging what is going on (most of the time they tell you) but it is fun to listen. Old Movies are great and especially old musicals.

Thursday

So it is Thursday. I do not have much to say. I have ridden my bike to work 3 of four days this week. WOOO HOO! I am having more fun. I have discovered listening to my I-pod on the way to work. I had been just riding. Now the time goes so fast and before I know it we are at work. We have left the trailer behind and we go much faster today our average speed was a little over 13 MPH. Pretty good huh! we pedaled down the one big hill and got up to 30 MPH. Is that fun or what! Considering we only go 6-9 MPH up he hill. My goal is to never go into single digits during the ride. We do on one hill but have not masterd the other yet. I always check out the place where the guy hit me. I look for him. I think we are to early for him. we eave at 5:30 now and make it in about 40 min. I have not felt like such a drag this week I feel like I am pulling my weight more. Yeah bike riding.

Mother/Mother-in-law

I miss my mother. She has been gone almost 4 years. She was my friend. She showed me the way more than once, and encouraged me to push myself way beyond what I thought I could do. I feel she was proud of me and of my children. She once told us that we were going to get a new Bishop. We said yeah right who is it she would not tell but she did write it on a paper and sealed it in an envelope which we were allowed to open after the new Bishop was announced. SHE WAS RIGHT. We were amazed. I myself never doubted what she knew from then on. She was at all of my graduations High School, Ricks, BYU and Nursing School. She usually did go to all of my children's performances also. I love her very much and I am looking forward to seeing her again someday.
Mother in Law-I never thought my mother in law liked me very much. She told me one time I was a nag, but amazingly I had grown out of it. We had a very nice visit in January while I went to see her to go to the quilt show and then She and my sister in law came to see us for a week and we had a very good visit. I just received a beautiful vase of flowers from her for mothers day. I love them they are so nice. I love both of the mothers I was blessed with. I hope I am as good of mother and mother in law as they are.

blog, blog,bolg

My son tells me that if I do not post more The will drop me from their list of Blog sites to look at. Oh well who is the favorite now. I love to read blogs I just don't like to write so much. I do not know how to make mine fancy like my daughter and daughters in law. I am hoping to have some blog training time when we get together at the end of the month. I am looking forward to this trip and to seeing all of my children and grandchildren. david does not have to go to orchestra today, but he got called out for search and rescue. How exciting. I Love my grandson Chandlers blog and I am trying to get my daughter to start a blog for my grandaughter Lindsey. I guess I am supposed to reveal things about myself now. So I guess I can tell the favorite that I love him/her a lot. I am so proud of you all and I talk about you all of the time. Yesterday in Relief Society I passed the news paper around after I had pointed out each of my beloved children to the sisters. You give me reason for living. Love MOM
